We’re thrilled to share some exciting updates and progress from the development of “CINE Game World™.” Our team has been hard at work implementing all planned features and refining existing systems to create an even more immersive and captivating gaming experience. Here’s what we’ve been up to:
Heightmap-based Landscape Carving/Sculpting:
We’ve implemented a cutting-edge heightmap-based “carving” system, allowing for the formation of various adjustable landscape spline points. This enhances the flexibility and creativity of world-building in our game. Now you can create rivers, roads, flat lands (for buildings), or ramps.
Enhanced Camera Keyframing System:
Our camera keyframing system has been solidified to make it effortless to create stunning cinematics. You’ll be able to control the speed at which the camera moves, perform some fly-throughs effortlessly and loop the sequence or Get ready to capture epic moments with ease!
Questing NPCs and Customizable Dialogue:
Introducing Questing NPCs and customizable quest dialogues! Players can now engage with intriguing storylines, complete with audio playback based on the quest’s narrative.
Improved Navigation Tools:
Navigate your world with ease using our newly implemented compass, appearing at the top of the viewport, and a minimap showing immediate surroundings from above. Questing interest points show up on the compass to help guide you to them.
Mesh Painting Brush:
World builders rejoice! Our mesh painting brush allows you to paint any selected mesh anywhere in your world, adding depth and detail to your creations. Complete with random rotation, random scaling, distance radius and alignment to surfaces, your scenes will look life-like.
God Rays and Volumetric Fog:
Experience breathtaking scenes with our reliable implementation of God Rays (or light shafts), especially when combined with volumetric fog and bloom. Adjusting God Rays in run-time was a bit tricky, but at long last we figured a reliable way to pass these settings to you so that you can make your scenes look truly epic!
Audio Zones, Sounds and Music:
We believe that sound is just as essential as visuals in creating a truly immersive gaming experience. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce our Audio Zone feature, allowing world builders to enhance their creations with environmental sounds and thematic music. With Audio Zones, you have the power to define any area within your world where specific sounds or music will automatically fade in and out as players cross the boundaries of the zone. For example, whether it’s the gentle rustle of leaves in a forest, the sounds of insects and animals in the area, the haunting melody of an ancient ruin or the reverberating sound of water dripping inside a cave, you can curate the perfect auditory atmosphere to complement your game world.
Bug Squashing and Playable Build:
Despite battling with bugs along the way, we’re proud to announce that we’ve defeated a good portion of them. We even managed to create a playable build of the game after many hours of rectifying errors. However, additional bugs have surfaced in the built game; and so the journey continues as we melt them away one by one.
